Tim February 18, 2012 for Model Number FWS777GFS0 Is it likely that a washer would suddenly start leaking from the bottom of the drain hose? I have a sudden slow leak..but cannot see it actually leaking. I have the front off, and watch the entire cycle with a flashlight. The water fills the pocket in the base beneath the drain hose next to the pump. No leaking is noticable from the pump, or the inlet hose from the tub. I lifted up the drain hose and it appears to be the source..but why after 9 or 10 years would the drain hose leak just where it lies on the base?
1 Answer Hi Tim. It is common with the drain hose that is a corregated part to rub and eventually start a small leak. Thank God you found it now whre no more damge can occur.
