Joe September 21, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire Gas Range ES200/300 controls P/N 316257503 (0102) When I press the BAKE button and when I set my desired temperature the OVEN and PREHEAT lights go on, but the oven does NOT heat up. I opened up the back and measured voltage to the feed for the igniter and their was only 1 VAC. Do you know how to remedy this problem?
1 Answer Joe, Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jay July 13, 2013 for Model Number AP2150414 Hi, I am currently building an oven by myself, and I want to know how much heat this igniter can stand. 1. Can the wire stand heat from the gas oven? 2. Can I just simply wire it to an AC adapter for it work? 3. If question 2 is yes, What is its recommended voltage and amp? 4. If question 2 is no, which model do I need to buy to plug it to the electricity?
1 Answer Jay, The this igniter when it turns on will get to be between 2500 and 3500 degrees Fahrenheit but closer to the 3500. To connect you will have a of 120 vac and a neutral to make the circuit. The amp draw will be 3.2 to 3.6 amps Read More...
Larry December 05, 2012 for Model Number Frigidaire GLGF377ASC What is the difference between the AP2150412 ($37) "oven ignitor" and the AP2125958 ($119) "ignitor"? I had a home appliance repair company come and check out my oven and they said my ignitor was going bad. The oven takes a lot longer to preheat than it used to. The repair guy had the bottom part of the oven open when he said the ignitor was going bad after looking at his meter tool so, I believe I need the AP2150412 part instead of the AP2125958 part but they wanted to charge $250 to replace it so, I'm confused on price/labor. I watched the video on how to replace this that you guys put together and it looks easy enough for a non-appliance guru type of guy, such as myself! Thank you for any help you could provide.
1 Answer Hello Larry. The difference is the design. You can order 5303935068 and use it if wanted, but 5303935066 will not work. Read More...

Colina February 23, 2012 for Model Number 30-3979-23/02 Is it possible to put a video on how to replace the broiler igniter AP2150414? The showed video is for the oven igniter AP2150412. I really love your videos, very usefull. Thanks
1 Answer Hi Colina. We continuously up grade our web site with newer repair videos. Thank You for your comments. It is very similar change -out between each igniter bake or broil. Just different locations. You may need to disconnect the wiring harness and also remove one front broil screw. Then lift the complete burner assy. up off the broil orifice and pull out the complete burner assy. Now you can work on the igniter on a table- top. Whichever is easier. Igniter part # 5303935068. J T December 27, 2011 for Model Number FGF353BADA The oven works fine, but the broiler takes a long time to come on. Is there a separate ingniter for the broiler and, if so, where is it located ? Thanks
1 Answer JT, Yes there are two burner igniters in the oven. 5303935068 is the broil burnrt igniter, and it could be weak, causing an extended ignition time or the burner openings could be partially clogged and need cleaning. You'll find the igniter mounted to the side of the broil burner, near the ceiling of the oven, by two screws. It will also protrude into/through the back wall of the oven but no major concerns there either. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...

Doug May 24, 2011 for Model Number fgf379wjca The oven doesn't light all the time. I see the glow down below, and will smell gas. But no ignition. No problem with the broiler igniting(on ceiling) of oven. I already replaced the gas valve that directs the gas to oven or broiler burners. It's 10 years old. Do igniter coils weaken?
