The Latch is an OEM part for Frigidaire dishwashers. It secures the dishwasher door during operation, ensuring a watertight seal that prevents leaks and allows the dishwasher to run efficiently.

Causes of a bad latch can include wear and tear from regular use, damage from slamming the door, or misalignment over time. Additionally, the latch mechanism can wear out, affecting its ability to hold the door shut.

Symptoms of a bad latch include:

  • Dishwasher door not closing or latching properly
  • Mid-cycle interruptions due to door opening
  • Leaks around the dishwasher door
  • The dishwasher not starting because the door is not securely latched

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Nick P, With the PF error occurring without any power failure occurring, then this will most likely be a faulty control board.

Candace for Model Number FFCD2413UB1A

My issue with Frigidaire Electrolux Home product Dishwasher Model: FFCD2413UB1A Tenant tells me the dishwasher is not working. He states “it feels like the start button on the dishwasher feels worn and will not actually press down on the button to start the cycle." I asked my maintenance person to look at it and he says, “I cannot do anything with dishwasher as it is a printed control board and door is not latching.” So is the issue a latch assembly 5304516818? Control panel 154639207? Or keypad assembly 154639207. (control panel and keypad assembly are the same thing?) Might this be helpful to do as stated on your website? “You may want to try this first: 1 Access the control board 2 disconnect the keypad ribbon from the control board. 3 Use a clean rag and rubbing alcohol or contact cleaner and clean the end of the ribbon and the contact pins inside the control board connector. 4 Allow the solution to evaporate, reattach everything, reverse the procedure and check the dishwasher for operation 5 if the problem persists, replace the console assembly (is this the same as the control panel/keypad assembly?). Another suggestion on your website states: “It sounds like the start button on the control panel 154639207 is bad and you will need to replace the panel. Make sure the door switches are good on the unit before replacing the panel. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html With the power supply turned off, the door switches would need to be tested for continuity when the door is closed, and the front panel is removed. If there is not continuity, the latch 5304516818 would need to be replaced. Is this the same as testing with a multi-meter? So I want to have the potential parts that need replaced and if not needed, I can return. This would be:console assembly (control panel/keypad assembly). 154639207 latch 5304516818? Thank you for your help Candace

Hello Candace, the user interface board is part 5304525218 , the door latch is part 5304525218. Parts Returns are handled by our Customer Service as long as the parts were not installed. Going by the symptoms it does sound like both parts are needed.

Richard for Model Number FFBD2412SS2A

Dishwasher door latch failed to lock got new assembly for the lock. Upon trying to replace to unit I noticed the wires were all burnt. As with other folks. The white cases that hold the wire clips are burnt. Can these be removed and just put on new clips (connectors), or is it required to have the white cases around the clips? My other point is this while I have seen stated here by you folks that this happens because of lose wires. My question is how does the wire come lose? They are secured in the unit and should be protected. This dishwasher is only like 4 years old and it is only my wife and I who use it so I know it is not being abused. It sounds like this is a common fault with these units is this correct? Thanks I have pics if needed. Thanks

Richard, it would be recommended that the main wiring harness 5304504853 is changed out as this will ensure that the wires do not cause any further issues.

Hello James, It does not matter which side the wires connect to as long as both white wires on connected to one switch and both black wires are connected to the other switch.
