This genuine OEM part is the main control board for refrigerators. The main control board is the primary circuit board that controls the refrigerator's essential functions of maintaining and controlling temperature. If the refrigerator is no longer staying cool, powering on, or maintaining proper temperature, the main control board will need to be replaced. Luckily, this is a fairly simple repair. To begin, start by unplugging the refrigerator. Once unplugged, proceed to uninstall the inner door panel of the refrigerator by removing the mounting screws. Once removed, access the old control board. Remove the wire harness and any individual wires attached to the old board. After that, pull the old board out of its mounting brackets to fully remove it from the refrigerator. Reinsert the wires into their correct terminals on the new board and snap it into its mounting brackets. Once secured, reinstall the inner panel of the refrigerator and restore power to the appliance. This authentic replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse brand refrigerators.

P Myers, The display will show the the actual temperature and you will want to check to make sure that the unit is not having a defrost issue. Remove the rear wall in the freezer and check for a evaporator being completely iced up. If it is then check the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat to make sure that they are good. If they are then the control board would be the issue.

Ignacio for Model Number E23CS75DSS1

Hi, I'm working on a Electrolux e23cs75dss1, it shows the letters E and F at fridge and refrigerator display, and it was beeping every 10 min, more or less, with some 'tac tac' noise like a relay getting on and off. I removed the main board and it seems to be damaged, I took it to a repair center and they told me that the board was broke. I bought a new board and installed it yesterday, the code E/F persists, but not the beep and the 'tac tac' noise either. Some forums says that it might be the evaporator fan, but I saw it running, I open the fridge door and the fan reduce the rpm, the compressor is working, condenser fan its working, the refrigerator is cooling but the E/F code still there. What could be the problem? Thanks!

Hello Ignacio. EF is the System Evaporator Fault. This usually means there is NOT enough air flow over the sensor, this can mean a faulty sensor, or evaporator fan motor. If the fan motor is good, replace the sensor.

Kevin for Model Number FSC23R5DWG

I have a fridigaire refrigerator model number fsc23r5dwg. We defrosted it over Christmas off for two weeks and pluged it back in it initially made quite a few beeps and the compressor did come on. The refrigerator side lights don't come on and the control panel did not light up. At first the on off button would shut the compressor down but now it does nothing. It has been two days and it is working with the refrigerator side a little warm. I just need some help if you think it is the control panel or the control board.

Adam S. for Model Number FSC23R5DWD

The ice-maker stopped working. Using the power switch toggle to do "manual re-set" resulted in no movement. Checked for voltage at the connector at the ice-maker motor, had no voltage at any lead. Checked for continuity from the power supply to the ice-maker connector. Except for the output (yellow) to the water valve, (I did not check that). The fuse on the board is good as well. I am gathering that the board is bad. Could the ice-maker cause the board to fail?

1 Answer

Hello Adam, Any component including the harness can cause a board 241511101 failure. Anything that draws excessive current through the board can be at fault. I would suggest checking for neutral to the icemaker and for 120Vac near the end of the icemaker cycle at the water valve, (about 6 to 7 seconds).
