For Frigidaire Freezer Evaporator Fan Motor (Part Number: OEM11337051)

Steve for Model Number Sears Coldspot Model 2520 15.9 cuft

Looking for motor specs on this unit.. Unit is working great and has done so since 1976. However, with the current potential for power outages I wish to size a proper generator backup I would like the electrical data on the unit (volts, amps, watts). Likely on a tag under/in back of the unit. However it is basically locked in place, its heavy and I'm old. Hoping you can provide the needed data so I get the correct size generator and not harm this old but good unit Thanks

Lus, You will want to remove the rear panel in the freezer and see if there is frost on the evaporator coils if there is very little frost then this will be a sealed system issue. If there is no frost then check to make sure that the compressor is running and getting 120 vac to the overload relay. If there is then the relay is faulty and would need replaced.

Joseph, If you remove the lower shelves of the unit and then remove the 4 screws across the top of the back wall in the freezer and the ones on the floor in the back of the freezer, remove this panel and you will have access to the fan motor to replace it.

Hello David, Remove the bottom shelves to about half-way up. Remove the four screws across the top of the rear compartment cover, four screws across the bottom, and two screws on the panel mid-way up. The evaporator fan motor is inside this cover. The unit should be unplugged before attempting to access the fan motor as there is 120Vac behind the panel.

Hello Scott, If the fan is not running, all of the cold air will drop to the bottom of the unit since cold air is heavier than warm air.If the fan isn't running, you definitely have to replace it to restore normal operation. I normally list the part number, but this is one of those parts that is model specific. You can either re-post with a valid model number or you can call [1-877-477-7278] and provide the model number to the customer service representative and they will look it up for you.

Hello Sheryl. If the noise is coming from the fan motor, then you will need to replace the fan motor kit 5304442620. Based on the sound you are describing, it does sound like it is the fan in the unit. Hope this helps.

Josef for Model Number f22cw7

Hi I need instructions for the evaporator replacement part. I was told a copy was going to be with the part well it was not. I got wires with different configuration one was close. But the green wire i believe it to be the ground wire in the middle it has a loop connection i think it should be connected to the motor body but no screw matching the whole on the motor body came with the order. I can try and match one but i need to know if it is needed to begin with? On the end of the wire there is a female connecter but so is the connecter to the green wire on the freezer. please send me instruction and a diagram in order not screw up something or worse. is there an adopter to convert the female to a male connections. Thank you in advance.

Hello Josef. There is no diagram to send, but , yes you are correct the ground wire needs to attach to a ground screw in the freezer. However, if there is no ground wire on your model and it does not use the plastic connector, you will not use the ground wire. You will use the white and yellow connector in the kit 5304442620 and there is no ground wire needed. Hope this helps.
