R. Setser August 31, 2019 I have a Tappan Gas Stove (36 inches) that is in fairly good working condition, but when using the digital control board to turn on the Oven, I can't read the oven "temperature" light to know what temperature I'm putting the oven at to bake in it. The oven is working, but without knowing how high or low the temperature is, it is almost impossible now to use my oven. The red light is so dim on the temperature reading that I just can't read it anymore. ??? I took the cook top off to get to the Model #, but it is no longer fully visible (the first part is totally gone -- possibly wiped clean in keeping the area under the cook top too clean over the years. The Metal plate indicates the Stove is a product of the Electrolux (spelling??) Company and the stove was made in Canada. It's a wonderful stove that has been used for years. I can sort of read the Serial Number and some of the last few digits of the Model Number but that is all. Is it possible that I just need a new light bulb to see the temperature light in the control board, and if so do you all carry this. I ordered a light part from you all, and received it, but don't think it is for my gas stove. Here's the only part of the Model # I can read off the metal plate #_ _ _ _ _ _657B(or an 8)FU1 (I think that is it. It's hard to tell). Here's what I think is the Serial # HF23921O(or a Q)21. This stove is about 20 yrs. old but still working fine except for not being able to read the very, very dim red light that shows the temperature the oven is going to. Please advise if you have any idea on a part for this and a operational video or a manual to show me how to install it. ???

Sonia February 19, 2016 Gas oven with control panel on top. Set the oven at 400 and oven lights up on bottom. However it takes a long time for the oven to actually heat. 1 Answer Hello Sonia. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
