Pati October 02, 2013 for Model Number FEFBZ90GCD Hi, Installed new clock/timer, electronic, ES530. Timer is flashing and the oven still will not go on. What is the problem. Thanks Pati
1 Answer Hello Pati. Clear and set the clock on the unit. Then try baking with the unit. If it still does not work, make sure the voltage is good. If so, the new clock assembly may be bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Joel U. August 08, 2013 for Model Number fefl79hbb Frigidaire When changing out my control board, does the overlay board have to be on for the control board to work? Can you use the old overlay on new control board?
1 Answer Hello Joel, This control has the buttons made in the control. The overlay is only used to indicate where to mash to get the correct button to activate the feature you wish to use. You can certainly use the old overlay. Just use a knife along the edge to carefully remove it from the old clock. If you just pull on it, it will crease it and make the overlay look cosmetically bad. 1 Answer Hello HHARRIMAN. Just remove the clock from the panel and peel off the old overlay and stick the new overlay to the clock, making sure it is lined up properly. Read More...
