Brad January 31, 2012 for Model Number FEF368GCA I need to replace the bottom panel of my oven, Part Number: AP3731407. I read to take out 2 screws in the back, then lift up from the back and pull the lip out of the front. I removed 2 rivet type screws from the back but it would not come out. I tried to rip it out then I saw 4 screws from the underside that are holding it in. How do you get to these 4 screws to remove them?
1 Answer Hello Brad. The panel in the model you provided, only has two screws inside and toward the back wall. You will remove these screws. Then lift upward on the back of the bottom panel, and slide the panel 316400601 toward the back to release the front lip of the panel out of the frame of the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
Brent June 16, 2011 The bottom is screwed to the sides from the underside. How do I get the screws out under the bottom pan into the sides of the oven? Ap3731407. Do I have to pull the out the whole interior, or take out the top of the pan drawer? Does the insulation slide out with the pan drawer top?
1 Answer Hi Brent. Oven model # FEF355EBA,shows that there are 2 shields needing removed to access the bottom of cavity insulation. The lower heat shield assy. part # 5304403169 and wool shield part # is316407700.The insulation part # is316403803. You will need to un- plug the range for safe removal of all parts. Starting from the top, you will then remove the burners, drip pans and lift up the top. Un- hinge the top and gain access to the side panel top screws. Also remove the back to remove side panels back screws. This will allow removal of side panels. Unhinge door and remove. Slide out bottom drawer and remove. This should gain access to removal of bottom oven cavity floor mount supports (legs if you will). Then you can access removal of lwr. heat shield panels to replace bottom cavity insulation. Best of luck, Thanks Read More...
Bob April 06, 2011 for Model Number FEF366DCD I tried to lift out bottom panel of oven from the back as you said in previous answer. I used suction cups to try to pull it up. It seems to be secured some way in the back. I could lift the stove with the suction cups but not the bottom panel of the oven. It would not lift up in the back of the panel at all.
1 Answer Hello Bob. Some models use screws in the back corners. You should be able to access them through the front of the oven. Remove the screws and it should lift out. Hope this helps. Read More...
