The Oven Bottom Panel is an OEM component for Frigidaire oven models. Located on the base of the oven interior, this metal panel provides structure and support.

Causes of a bad oven bottom panel include warping or damage due to exposure to high heat over time. Small nicks or cuts could allow heat to escape and reduce the oven's efficiency. Intentional or accidental impact during cleaning can also weaken the material.

Symptoms of a bad oven bottom panel include:

  • Uneven or inefficient heat distribution within the oven
  • Visible warping or damage to the panel surface
  • Reduced heat retention leading to longer cook times
  • Potential safety hazards if the metal is weakened

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

Hello Ken, If the screws 5303285179 will not come out, you can use a pair of wire cutters under the heads of them to apply upward pressure while turning them counterclockwise. This will normally cause them to catch threads and back out. Do not do this to the screws if there is any chance of re-using the pan since this will cause the enamel to chip off of it.

Mike for Model Number fridgidaire electrolux

I have been having a heck of a time removing the bottom panel of my oven to get to the heating element. I have removed the cover on the fan in the back to make room for the panel to come up. I have removed the two screws holding the panel in place. The back of the panel will lift up, but the front seems to be attached to something like a hinge. I can press down on the front of the panel and it will depress down into the bottom of the oven about 3/4ths of an inch. Please help me figure out what I am missing to remove this bottom oven panel!

This Kenmore range/oven's lower oven heating element fail by sagging, coming into contact with, and fusing to the oven's bottom panel. The element is removed but there is a small piece welded to this lower panel and this panel is scarred for life. The example solutions removing the panel that you provide seem not to apply. While there are 2 fasteners near the back of the panel - the heads are a carriage bolt type. A strong magnet does not budge the panel in the back. How do I remove it?
