Chris March 05, 2014 for Model Number FPHD2491KF0 The heating element occasionally stays on after the wash cycle is completely done, causing severe heat / fire hazard. Tech set replace the control panel - would this be the right part
Rich B July 21, 2013 for Model Number FPHD2491KF0 Frigidaire Dishwasher has stopped scrubbing (no water spray). It will fill and heat but will not wash, timer and dispenser work. At the end of the cycle it empties the water from the tub. Upper control panel has been a little flaky only on getting into the heavy duty cycle everything else has always worked. Filters and screens are clean. Question do I have a PC board issue or is it related to the pump? Help!
1 Answer Hello Rich. Test for power to the circulation pump. If it is there, you will need to replace the pump on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Todd March 28, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire series 500 (I think) My dishwasher wouldn't turn on the other day when I hit the start button. I figured it was the fill valve, but that has since bench tested to be just fine. I have 120VAC on one side of the fill valve connector when the unit is off. The other side of the connector is at 0VAC. When I hit the start button, I have 120VAC on both sides (referenced to the frame of the dishwasher), but the fill valve won't open. My question is which is more likely - a bad wire that has enough connectivity to give me a voltage reading but opens when current tries to pass or a bad control board?
1 Answer Todd, If you are getting 120 vac to the water valve when the unit is calling for water and no water is coming through then you need to replace the water valve. Read More...

Leslie C. November 16, 2011 for Model Number fphd2491kf Frigidaire Professional dishwasher If I know how to get the door casing off of the dishwasher, is this something I could install myself with a screwdriver, or do I need a service technician? They cannot get out here in time for my company this weekend, and I need a dishwasher! Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Leslie. Yes, the board assembly 5304475600 is not hard to replace after the door is disassembled. Just remove the wires going to the old board and remove the old board from the unit. Install the wire on the new board and reassemble the unit. Make sure the power is off before doing the repair. Hope this helps. Read More...
