Alan January 16, 2023 for Model Number FFTR1022QB0 I noticed all 5 lights on the temp control panel were illuminated, first flashing, then steady on, and temp in the fridge and freezer was rising. Turned off power for several minutes, then back on, in hopes of a reset. Did not work. However, two hours later the fridge began working fine with only one light (middle setting) on temp control panel. Has happened twice in two weeks now. I have ordered a new PC Control Board (p/n AP5955161 (5304498695)) to replace this 5 yr old board. Am I on the right path? Thanks for the assistance!
Christopher February 17, 2022 for Model Number FFET1222QWO Starting hearing an unusually loud noise/humming coming from the evaporator fan area a few days ago but didn't have the time to disassemble and check right then. Then the refrigerator stopped cooling and freezer stopped freezing. When I removed the freezer evaporator cover, the fan would not run. It would oscillate a few degrees every couple of minutes, but even that seems to have stopped. The compressor runs only if the evaporator fan motor is disconnected. Compressor shuts down as soon as the fan motor is plugged in. Interior refrigerator light works fine. I set the temperature control to #5 but defaults to #3 when the fan motor is plugged in. Evaporator fan motor label states "DC 12V 4W" I seem to be getting about 11.6 VDC at the plug when I disconnect the fan motor. Does this sound like a defective evaporator fan motor or circuit board or something else? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Christopher, This would be a faulty evaporator fan motor that will need to be replaced. Read More...
Art September 03, 2020 for Model Number CRMH12PW This is a Crosley fridge, and apparently it has an Electrolux board, part # 5304498695. The fridge quit on me last year, then started working again for 6 months or so. Now it doesn't work at all. The main control board has a single button for setting the temperature, with 5 indicator lights. All 5 lights are alternating all on, all off. Nothing else appears to be happening.....any thoughts?
1 Answer Art, based on the information provided, it would be recommended that the control is tested for voltage. The black and white wire connector should have a continuous 120VAC supply. If there is correct voltage, then the failure is going to be in the main control. Read More...
Donald April 08, 2020 for Model Number FFET1022QS0 Refrigerator stop working, but the light inside is working. I unplugged it for 10 minutes, after that the compressor seem to work, but not the fan, for 5 minutes, after that the light of the temperature setting turn off and the refrigerator stop working again. Any idea. Thanks in advance !!!
1 Answer Donald, Based on the information provided it is likely to be the main control board assembly. {AP5955161] Read More...
Toms October 28, 2019 for Model Number FFTR1022QW0 Is there a way to test the control board to initiate a defrost cycle in my fridge? The freezer is icing up however the fan spins fast without any stalling, the heater is reading 70 ohms, and the defrost fuse looks good. I used a blow dryer to defrost the fridge Friday and its frosted over again Monday. Could it also be the sensor in the freezer?
1 Answer Tom, If the heater and defrost thermostat check ok then this issue would be caused by the control board not going into the defrost. Read More...
Vince July 06, 2019 for Model Number FFTR1022QW0 Refrigerator compartment contents are frozen even after adjustment of temperature with the thermostat.
1 Answer Hello Vince, It is common for the adjustment being made to be reversed since refrigeration can be confusing. I would recommend setting the refrigerator setting colder to see if this helps the situation. You see, in a refrigerator, the items in the bottom and in the drawers will start to freeze if the air circulation is insufficient. By setting the temperature colder, you actually increase the air circulation in the fresh food compartment which prevents the cold air from settling in the bottom and causing items to freeze. If this does not work, you may need to replace the control board 5304498695. Read More...
Libby April 19, 2019 for Model Number FFET1222QW Frigidaire Sounds like intermittent loud noise and continuous running after freezer is cold. Took off freezer compartment back cover. Saw fan working but a lot of ice on the fins and quite a bit of ice at the center bottom of the heating element. I don't see a timer. Is everything in the PC board? Is the timer to defrost in the PC board?
1 Answer Hello Libby, The control 5304498695 does the job of the defrost timer. This control most likely has a relay on it that is failing. Read More...
Ernest September 25, 2018 for Model Number FFTR1022QW open door light turns on unit will not get cold, fridge or freezer. Press set temp button lights do not turn on. Unplugged for over 10 min tried again lights on temp control never lights up compressor or fans never turn on.
1 Answer Ernest, The interior light and the control board use the same power source(120 VAC) Since the interior light works, you'll need to check for loose connections or damaged wires to/at the control board. If all's OK, replace the control board 5304498695 / 5304498695 PC Board, control, main. Read More...
Henry May 29, 2018 for Model Number FFET1022QW0 Low voltage to evaporator fan motor. When fan connected it turns on for 2 sec and off for 3/4 sec. this keeps repeating. When the fan is disconnected the compressor starts up and freezer cools. Is it the defrost thermostat AP5955160 or the control board AP5955161.
1 Answer Hello Henry, This is either a bad fan motor 5304519506 or a failed control board 5304498695. Read More...
Steve December 26, 2017 for Model Number Vissani Apartment Refrigerator I think my Pcb board is bad. Frid freezer works but large lower refrid compartment does not. Fan, Radiator, compressor all look okay. Comes on until freezer is cold then turns off and doesn't come on again unless I reset it by unplugging it. Is there a way to test my Pcb board? If I install yours and fridge still doesn't work, is yours return-able? Fridge is only 2 years old.
1 Answer Steve, We would need to have a model number to be able to assist. The only way to test the board is power in and out of the board. Our control boards are not returnable if installed. Read More...
