Kathy December 12, 2014 for Model Number EIMED60JIW0 Our dryer shuts off and we get error 64. We called the number listed and they say its a sensor. Do you know if this sensor 134786100 is the one we need? Or is there a way to check what our part number would be?
1 Answer Kathy, The E64 error code means that there is an open heater circuit. You will want to check the heater coils and connections for open circuits. Test the thermostats for continuity. If the sensor is the issue then the part number for the sensor is 134711200 for the inlet thermistor and 134711300 for the outlet thermistor. Read More...
Mike June 22, 2014 for Model Number eied55hiw0 The moisture sensor bar in the back of the drum has broken off twice. Material from clothing has gotten snagged and ended up stressing the plastic until it breaks. Any thoughts on how to prevent this from happening? Is this a frequent issue with these dryers? What is the consequences if I don't replace it? We have 6 kids and dry large loads for an hour no matter what. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Mike, The sensor bar 134786100 will need to be replaced to ensure normal operation of each cycle of the machine. It should also set in the unit flat and be held down so no clothing can snag on it. If it isn't setting flat, the issue probably has something to do with the surface where it mounts, (rear bulkhead) 137556626. Read More...
