1 Answer Hello Kathy. The shelf that is in there already probably has a round rubber part (shipping block) on one end by the unit wall. This keeps the shelf from falling during shipment. If you look closely at it and maybe turn it, you will see there is a slot down one side of it. Simply force it off of the shelf rail and the shelf will go deeper into the hole when you push on it so the other side will have room to clear the wall. If the shipping block isn't there to begin with, simply push the shelf to one side or the other, (one direction will have deeper holes), and lift the other end to clear the holes.
