Hello Rob. Based on the information you provided, if the switch is powering the light, you will need to replace the switch 316238201 for that burner. Make sure the probe is not bad.

Amy, The switch does not control the hot surface indicator. The elements control this light and if there is a certain one that does not turn it on then the element would need to be replaced. If this is a surface indicator to show that the burner is on and not a hot surface indicator then the issue would be the switch.
