Replacement water inlet valve that controls water flow to the refrigerator's ice maker and dispenser, restoring proper water delivery and helping stop leaks or no-water conditions when the factory valve fails. What it does:

  • Opens and closes the water supply to the ice maker and dispenser when signaled by the refrigerator's control board.
  • Commonly linked to symptoms such as no water from the dispenser, slow fill, or ice maker not filling.
  • Can fail by leaking, sticking closed, or not responding to electrical signals.
  • Works with the refrigerator's tubing and fittings to route incoming household water to internal components.
What's included: One replacement valve. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the refrigerator water supply before beginning work.
  • Relieve water pressure and have towels handy to catch residual water when removing tubing.
  • Verify electrical connector and inlet/outlet fittings match the appliance; replace any damaged tubing or seals.

Stephanie for Model Number LFT2940ES1

Last question - we purchased the valve locally that you said was the correct part 1347210. But when we were going to change it out, this part number does not have a place for the thermistor to plug in. Do you know if they changed the valve so that it is not necessary for the thermistor? Part number has the plug in for the thermistor, but like you have said and all other places I have searched online, it says that 1347210 is the correct part for our machine.
