David July 01, 2019 for Model Number FPHD2491KF0 MY DISHWASHER FILLS UP WITH "FRESH" WATER AND LEAKS, EVEN WHEN THE WATER IS OFF TO IT. WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM POSSIBLY BE?
1 Answer David, If you find the unit full of water when you have not used it then the water inlet valve is not sealing and would need to be replaced. 5304482406 If you are saying you actually turn off the water supply to the unit and it fills up then you have water from your sink backflowing to the unit because of a drain issue and you need to put an air gap in that drain line under the sink. 1 Answer Robert, Make sure the float assembly is not stuck up with debris under it. This is the cone-shaped part that sits under the bottom rack and will stop water if it is raised. If that checks ok you will need to check for 120 vac at the valve itself when the unit should be filling. If the voltage is present change the valve if no voltage replace the control. Obviously, make sure no kinks in water inlet and your water is on. Read More...

Larry March 07, 2012 for Model Number fdb2410his0 The dishwasher is overfilling and water is running out the door. I can't find a water level float sensor like other dishwashers have. Can you tell me how it senses the water level? What part do I need to fix it? Thanks for your help!
1 Answer Hello Larry. This dishwasher uses a pressure switch 5304470224 and a pressure hose 5304470223 for the water level. If the hose or switch are bad, you will need to replace them. If both are good, and the unit overfills, replace the valve 5304482406. Hope this helps. Read More...
