I bought a new puresource ultra water filter at lowes yesterday. This morning I put it in and was having a loud sound coming from water source so I took out the new one and put the old one back in ; still got the sound so I tried again reversing a few times. Finally found the source of the sound but now I don't know which filter is the new one and which is the old one Only numbers I found on the filter were; GS2065J0134 1 FS1895A0734 1 Is there any way to tell which filter is older than the other. They were both purchased at Lowes

Todd, If this filter will not lock in then the most likely cause will be a faulty filter base. If the unit is new it would be recommended to have service to replace the part. The part number for the part needed would be 242009604.

Clyde, Based on the symptoms of the unit it sounds like there is a leak in the sealed system. It would be hard to say which part is leaking refrigerant without having a service tech to determine this.
