Carrie May 08, 2016 for Model Number FGHC2331PFAA I changed the Powersource Ultra water filter for the first time. I ran a few gallons through it and the water still has a terrible metallic taste (much worse than water from the tap). The water starts off cloudy and then slowly clears (air bubbles, maybe?) which did not happen with the original filter. Please help!

Steve May 02, 2016 for Model Number Frigidaire FFHS2622MSQ The water wasn't flowing out of the water dispenser on my Frigidaire FFHS2622MSQ. I bought a Frigidaire WF3CB Puresource 3 Replacement Filter and it started working. After 2 months the water flow has stopped again. These filters are suppose to last 6 months. My fridge and freezer settings are both at 4, the line should not be frozen. Why would the filter stop working or clog after only 2 months?
1 Answer Steve, In most cases where the filter gets clogged after just a couple of months it would be caused by the water supply to the unit. If the icemaker is still making ice then it would not be a filter issue and would need to disconnect the water line at the hinge for the freezer door and make sure that when you push water button that water comes from the tube on the refrigerator side. Angi January 18, 2016 My frigidaire takes the pure source 3 water filter which I always buy at Lowes this last time they gave me a pure source ultra which only worked for a few weeks then the water stopped dispensing I took it back to Lowes thinking they gave me the wrong filter the appliance person said that frigidaire changed filters and that the ultra would work on my model, they then thought something may have been wrong with the filter I bought so they replaced I installed the new one again and it has worked for a few weeks and now no water again.. I'm starting to think the ultra isn't fitting my fridge right never had this problem before when I was buying the pure source 3 filter
