Dave O. December 23, 2012 for Model Number DHDSR46EE0WW GE Dryer DHDSR46EE0WW When I bought part 508 Rear Drum Bearing Kit (WE25M40), the kit did not include the part 3127 O-ring (WE1M461) with it. Do I need to buy it separately and if so, does it fit in the groove at the end of the shaft to keep the part 3106 Rear Bearing Sleeve (WE1M462) from coming off? Also, when installing the new Idler Pulley, part 216 (WE12X83), how far does the part 234 cap nut (WE2X329) need to be slid onto the idler pulley arm? Should it leave the maximum amount of play for the pulley and be placed towards the end of the arm rod, or should it be pushed far enough in to keep the idler pulley from sliding too far out of alignment with the motor pulley? Or does it matter since it self-aligns? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Dave, Yest the O ring is a separate order part. And yes it does fit in the groove at the end of the shaft to keep the rear bearing sleeve from coming off. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Sevastian. Some of these you can get them to unscrew off the unit. Other times the cap nut WE2M96 needs to be worked from side to side working your way up the shaft. Hope this helps. Read More...
