Roxana September 30, 2013 for Model Number GFWN1000L1WW There is a leak inside the mashine. I looked and it looks like it is coming from the valve on the cold water. I try to switch the hot water hose and it is stil leaking. The hot water valve it's ok. I look at the washers on the hose. It is not leaking at the hose but from the valve somewhere. Do I need to change the valve?
Tired September 07, 2013 for Model Number wbvh5200j3ww My washer would not take in water. Is it the valve?
1 Answer Hello Tired. Remove the hoses from the back of the unit and make sure the screens are not clogged. If they are not, and there is power to the water valve, you will need to replace the water valve on the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Hello, If water pressure is at the water valve and it is getting voltage, changing the valve WH13X10029 should correct the issue. Read More...
Redneck August 11, 2012 for Model Number WBVH5200J2WW washer wont fill on cold side but will fill on hot side so i took hot water hose completely off and switched cold hose over to hot side it will fill but I dont think it is rinsing right. Could this be the water valve?

Frustrated April 23, 2012 for Model Number General Electric GFWN1000L1WW Washer My washer won't complete a cycle. I cleaned pump filter, checked pressure on both hot/cold to washer. If set it on HOT, it will run fine till its time to rinse. Then it wont get enough water and eventually just hangs. If set on Cold or Warm it will slow down and not fill till it hangs up. Switching Hot and Cold hoses around and set for Cold (will actually be hot water) will run till its time to rinse and hang. Seems like either this valve or some other part that controls water intake is preventing enough water to run through a full cycle. Any thoughts before I order this part?
1 Answer Hello Frustrated, This sounds like the cold side of the water inlet valve WH13X10029 has failed. You see, the only time hot water is used for a fill is for the wash cycle. The rinse is done in cold. This sounds like where the unit "hangs up". I wouldn't switch the hoses out as there is a thermistor which could set a fault code if it sees the improper water temperature.
