Hello Tired. Remove the hoses from the back of the unit and make sure the screens are not clogged. If they are not, and there is power to the water valve, you will need to replace the water valve on the unit.

Frustrated for Model Number General Electric GFWN1000L1WW Washer

My washer won't complete a cycle. I cleaned pump filter, checked pressure on both hot/cold to washer. If set it on HOT, it will run fine till its time to rinse. Then it wont get enough water and eventually just hangs. If set on Cold or Warm it will slow down and not fill till it hangs up. Switching Hot and Cold hoses around and set for Cold (will actually be hot water) will run till its time to rinse and hang. Seems like either this valve or some other part that controls water intake is preventing enough water to run through a full cycle. Any thoughts before I order this part?

Hello Frustrated, This sounds like the cold side of the water inlet valve WH13X10029 has failed. You see, the only time hot water is used for a fill is for the wash cycle. The rinse is done in cold. This sounds like where the unit "hangs up". I wouldn't switch the hoses out as there is a thermistor which could set a fault code if it sees the improper water temperature.
