Norma February 15, 2019 for Model Number GFWH1200H0WW My washer is not working , it sounds like is going to start, pulls water for a few seconds then stops and drains the water, what could be the problem
1 Answer Norma, multiple things can cause this issue. The best way to identify which component failed is by entering the unit into a diagnostic mode which will show you particular error codes. The error code will help to identify specifically why the unit is failing. If the diagnostics do not show an error code, then your main control board is the most likely part that has failed. Becy April 19, 2015 for Model Number WBVH5200J1WW Fabric softener won't dispense into the washer. The tray is clean and the fill holes are clear. I stopped using fabric softener for the time being. That compartment will fill up with water during a load but will stay in the tray. There is always water in the fabric softener compartment after a load. ???
1 Answer Becy, With the fabric softener not working, this would most likely be caused by a faulty cold water valve. The part number needed would be WH13X10029. Read More...

Gabriel M March 09, 2014 for Model Number GFWN1100L1WW Washer not washing properly. The hot water runs fine but he cold cold trickles in. Two error codes have appeared, E66 (water temp problems) and E22 (fill problem; timed out) I've checked all the filters and nothing is blocked. I was wondering if a malfunctioning inlet valve would affect the temperature reading and VISE VERSA. If so, how can I check the valve using an Ohm reader to see if that is what I'm supposed to replace?
1 Answer Gabriel, To test the water valve coils you will disconnect the wires to the solenoid and do a resistance reading. The resistance should be 1000 to 1250 ohms at room temperature of 77 degrees. If outside this range then the coils are faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...

Sabino November 30, 2013 for Model Number GFWN1100L1WW My washing machine pauses during the cycle. Slow-fill I suspected, so I tested the inlet valves. On the 1 inlet 2 outlet type one passed the water forcefully. On the other outlet the water got out in a very weak stream. Was this designed like this - one is strong and the other is weak - or are they supposed to eject water with the same force?
1 Answer Sabino, The water valve should have equal water pressure. One will not be more forceful than the other. Check to make sure that the screens on the valve are not clogged as this may be the issue. Read More...
