The 6-inch Small Surface Element is an OEM part for GE electric ranges. This heating element is designed to provide consistent and efficient heat for cooking on the stovetop. Hello Kelly. The element WB30X359 is on a hinge. You will disconnect the power to the unit. Then lift the element and disassemble the terminal block on the old element. Lift the old element out and install the new element. Reassemble the new terminal block on the new element and reconnect the power. Hope this helps.
