Jennifer July 20, 2017 for Model Number GE GSD500D- 03BH I took the panel off dishwasher in rental to clean mold. The Styrofoam piece fell off. I googled it goes with the air vent but not exactly sure where to put it back. Help! Thank you
1 Answer Hello Jennifer. The air diverter assembly is located in the upper left hand corner of the inner door assembly, above the detergent dispenser. You'll need to dismantle the door assembly and control panel to access it . Read More...
Floridaguy February 04, 2017 for Model Number GE Dishwaher GLD5604V00WW GE Dishwaher GLD5604V00WW Air Diverter Asm (AP4112558) has a hole in the black plastic that lines up with a hole on the plastic inside of the door. I saw nothing there when the air diverter came out? Was there some sort of a retainer there? I looked everywhere! I order a new Air Diverter because the foam broke on it while finding the tactile control board was bad.
1 Answer Florida guy, There would not be a retainer on the black plastic that lines up with a hole on the plastic inside of the door where the air diverter came out. Read More...
William April 13, 2016 for Model Number gld6700n00bb Ugh.....i need help installing the air diverter, visually. Can't figure this stupid thing out
1 Answer Hello William. It slides into the inner door liner where the vent hole is located. It can only install one way properly. You want to make sure the Styrofoam is toward the vent in the door. Read More...
Victor November 19, 2013 for Model Number GHDA485N00CS Ge Dishwasher I have replaced the air diverter on my dishwasher, but moisture is still getting in between the inner and outer door sections and eventually dripping on the floor. I have confirmed that the moisture is coming from the air diverter and not the door seals or soap/rinse dispenser. My machine was the subject of a recall. Is it possible that the new heat element is getting too hot and causing excessive steam? I can't think of any other explanation other than just poor design. The air diverter is not a sealed piece. The bottom, which is inside the door, is totally open. This is where the moisture seems to be coming from. Any ideas???
1 Answer Hello Victor. You need to pull the unit out a little where the vent is not going under the counter lip and causing the issue. Read More...
Victor May 29, 2013 for Model Number GHDA485N10CS If some of the foam has broken off of the Air Diverter could this cause moisture to form on the inside of the outer door panel? I have moisture dripping from the back of the outer panel and collecting at the bottom of the door. I changed both the bottom seal and tub seal, but noticed that the small piece of foam next to the small hole (looks like a screw hole but no screw) on the Air Diverter about (1/2" long) has broken off. Thanks
1 Answer Victor, If the foam has broken off then yes it can cause moisture to build up in between the doors and would cause the dripping. You would want to replace the diverter. Read More...
