Florida guy, There would not be a retainer on the black plastic that lines up with a hole on the plastic inside of the door where the air diverter came out.

Hello William. It slides into the inner door liner where the vent hole is located. It can only install one way properly. You want to make sure the Styrofoam is toward the vent in the door.

Victor for Model Number GHDA485N00CS Ge Dishwasher

I have replaced the air diverter on my dishwasher, but moisture is still getting in between the inner and outer door sections and eventually dripping on the floor. I have confirmed that the moisture is coming from the air diverter and not the door seals or soap/rinse dispenser. My machine was the subject of a recall. Is it possible that the new heat element is getting too hot and causing excessive steam? I can't think of any other explanation other than just poor design. The air diverter is not a sealed piece. The bottom, which is inside the door, is totally open. This is where the moisture seems to be coming from. Any ideas???

Hello Victor. You need to pull the unit out a little where the vent is not going under the counter lip and causing the issue.

Victor, If the foam has broken off then yes it can cause moisture to build up in between the doors and would cause the dripping. You would want to replace the diverter.
