The Lower Spray Arm Assembly is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. It is responsible for delivering powerful spray coverage to lower racks and delicate items.

Hello Gary, thank you for contacting APP, To remove the Lower Spray Arm and Conduit: 1. Remove the 1/4 in. hex head screw from the conduit. 2. Tip the conduit and spray arm to the front of the dishwasher. 3. Slide the conduit out of the diverter tab. Once you have the spray arm and conduit out you should be able to flip them over so that the conduit is facing up and see the locking tab and hub. Release the tab using a small screwdriver and turn the hub counter-clockwise to separate the conduit and spray arm.

Elizabeth, There should be a 1/4" screw on the sump under the spray arm that holds the conduit in place. Remove this screw and rotate it to remove the conduit and the spray arm. There is also a release tab under the spray arm where it attaches to the conduit that you will need to push and turn the hub counter clockwise.

Keith, the lower spray arm would need to be inspected for clogged jets and any cracks that may have formed.

John, under the arms of the sprayer is a lock nut that you would need to rotate counter clockwise to be able to remove the spray arm.

Darryl, In order to remove the lower spray arm locate the tab which is locked (always located on one of the short arms). The locking hub "wing" will be opposite the empty arm extension. Insert a small screw driver to release pressure on the tab, rotate the locking hub clockwise to release the locking hub. Lift the spray arm to remove.
