The Blower Tangential is an OEM component designed specifically for GE ranges. Located near the top of the oven cavity, this tangential blower circulates exhaust air out of the oven and above the cooktop during and after cooking cycles.  

Symptoms of a faulty blower include:

• Excessive heat buildup inside the oven and around the cooktop surfaces
• Steam or smoke failing to properly vent outdoors from the oven  
• Abnormal noises coming from the blower motor

Causes usually involve failures of the electric motor from years of sustained usage. Physical obstructions blocking the fan housing could also lead to issues.
