Rennie April 17, 2012 for Model Number GSD5800G00BB A significant amount of clean water remains in the bottom of the dishwasher after the drying cycle is complete. How do I verify that the valve assembly is working correctly? What else could be contributing to this problem?
1 Answer Hello Rennie, If you make sure the unit is empty before you go to bed and it has water in it the next morning, the water inlet valve WD15X10003 is leaking internally. If not, you could have a drain line that has dropped from counter top level and sink water can feed back into the unit. Otherwise, I would remove the drain line from the sink drain and hold it in a bucket and set the unit to drain. The water should come out very strong. If not, you could have a screen stopping up in the pump. The only other thing I can think of that could cause this is a relay on the board WD21X10116 that is sticking. This would cause the problem to be intermittent. Read More...
