This assembly includes the refrigerator's water inlet valve mounted on its bracket. It regulates water flow from the household supply into the refrigerator's water system to restore reliable filling for the ice maker and/or dispenser.

  • Controls water flow by opening/closing the valve when the refrigerator calls for water
  • Helps deliver proper water during fill cycles and shuts off cleanly after
  • Common symptoms: no ice production, no water from dispenser, slow/weak flow, leaks at the valve, or loud buzzing/chattering during fill
  • Mounts in the original location using the included bracket for secure fit
What's included: Water inlet valve pre-mounted on the bracket assembly. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
  • Relieve line pressure (dispense water if equipped) and keep a towel handy for residual water
  • Move tubes and wire connectors to the new valve one at a time to maintain placement
  • Restore water and power, then check all connections for leaks and proper operation

Scott B for Model Number ZISS420DXBSS

Hi there, great site and I've purchased from you in the past! The water supply on this unit has been failing to flow intermittently, strangely days after I changed the filter. It eventually starts again on it's own, sometimes continuing to flow a bit after the cup switch is no longer engaged, but then it settles down. Terrified it will just turn on during the night, disaster. I can hear something click even when water doesn't flow. Ice bucket is full, have not examined that functionality yet as it's slower to understand. My main question is that your site lists two different replacement valve parts for my model (WR57X10084 and WR57X10024), yet the schematic (limited as it is) just shows two valves, one each for ice and water. Flipping up the door over the unit, I can see what appears to be only WR57X10084 hooked up to the tubing. ALSO, your own diagram which shows your two parts as 799 and 795 actually seems to show the two halves of what I can see in my unit, which looks just like WR57X10084. I think something may be wrong in your system. My best guess is that there is only 795 (WR57X10084), unless 799 (WR57X10024) is hidden somewhere else in the machine. Last question--how do I replace this, it's kind of deep in behind the water filter. I suppose I can remove the filter, reach in from the front and manage to release the mounting screw, and pull the valve assembly closer to do the replacement? Thank you! --Scott

I am replacing a GE Refrigerator's Water Valve Assembly. The original part was a part # WR49X10043 assembly but as it has been replaced with a new assembly part # WR57X10084. I ordered the assembly conversion kit and the instructions are clear on the water line connections. But...as part of the assembly kit, the new wiring was not attached to the selonoid connections and I want to verify I have the connections made in the correct order/scheme. It appears obvious the red connectors are to the red selonoids and the white connectors to the blue selonoids. What I want to confirm is the correct orientation of the connector slots on each. When looking down on the assembly from the top (connectors on the top with white connectors above the red) ), should the orange wires be oriented on the top or bottom for each connector? ( see below ). This seemed to match the natural formation of the wire kit when it arrived in the box. - orange wire white connector-- - yellow wire - orange wire red connector-- - white wire

Hi. You need to purchase the Relay and harness upgrade conversion wiring to couple between the original wiring to yours. It is part # WR23X10035. Thank You.
