Debbie April 30, 2012 for Model Number wase4220a0ww what is the part that makes the washer spins? my washer will not spin
1 Answer Debbie, If you're sure there are no article(s) stuck between the tubs and the lid switch WH12X10141 is OK, you'll need a mutimeter to test the circuit, with the lid closed, then you want to start by checking or replacing the belt WH1X2026 and WH5X256 clutch and clip assembly. Chris July 13, 2011 for Model Number wjsr2080t2aa Machine is 15 yrs old. Is it normal for the clutch to have some play in it? It's out of the washer(still attached to motor)and you can pull it up and down 1/8" or so. There's a little play when you rotate it back and forth. Can you test it out of the washer?
1 Answer Hello Chris. It is normal for the clutch to have a little play in it after 15 years of use. However, to much play can cause the clutch to slip. There is no way to test the clutch outside of the machine. You will need to reinstall it to test the clutch. If it is slipping, you will need to replace the clutch assembly WH5X256. Hope this helps.
