It gets power but doesn't start.I looked at price of the pump assembly (=$130 + labor) may be better to get a new one. How can I determine the age of this unit. It was here when we bought the condo a couple years ago.

Wayne February 23, 2011 My dishwasher does not empty completely. There is 2 inches of water or better left in the bottom after a complete wash cycle. This happened for a short while previously and then began to drain completely. I removed the drain hose form the disposal unit and blew the line clear back into the tub without much resistance. The water was bubbling at the check valve. Will replacing the pump assembly fix this problem? Thanks , Wayne
1 Answer Hello Wayne. If there is power going to the drain pump, and it is not draining, and the drain hose is clear, then you will need to replace the pump. Hope this helps. Read More...
