Joanne September 13, 2024 for Model Number PFE28KSKFSS Hello, All seven lights have dimmed inside the refrigerator and are flickering. The inside is dark. How do I determine which light is out? Could it be a different issue other than just replacing one light? Thank you.
1 Answer Joanne, this is going to indicate an LED light WR55X11132 is likely shorted. If a 2" piece of wire with 1/4" of each end bare is used, the LEDs can be checked to identify which one would be the issue. With the refrigerator door switches taped down, the bottom left LED can be removed and the wire plugged into the wire harness the light was removed from. With that done, the tape can be lifted from one door switch. If the lights turn on normally, the LED that was removed has failed. If the lights continue to flicker, the door switch would need to be taped down the jumper wire removed, LED placed back in, and this process can be repeated for each LED. If this process does not cause the LEDs to work normally when one of them have been removed and bypassed, the main control WR55X46805 could be the cause of failure. Read More...

Tara June 23, 2023 for Model Number PWE23KSKLHSS Can I just purchase/replace the LED "board" as opposed to the entire cover? It seems that's what a lot of people are doing on youtube etc. however I cannot find just that part on amazon or other sites that sell GE parts. Seems I have to purchase the cover part as well.
1 Answer Tara, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list the LED separately from the LED cover assembly WR55X11132. Read More...

Joe September 07, 2022 for Model Number GYE22HSKFSS All 7 of my interior lights have been flickering in unison. Sometimes very dim, sometimes nearly all on, but always flickering/changing. Could this be from a single light failing? I'd like to buy one and just try swapping it into each slot until I find the problem light. Is this a good approach? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Joe, the LED lights are usually in a series circuit so if one is starting to fail it can cause this symptom, the part number is WR55X11132. Read More...

Brandon May 10, 2021 for Model Number PYE22PSHISS Lights inside fresh food have gone dim and also some of the food inside fresh food has started to freeze. Both problems started same day. What would cause it? Reading other stories seem like one light might have shorted causing rest to dim out. How do I know which one is shorted and needs replacement? Also is there a sensor that might be causing the food to freeze?
1 Answer Hello Brandon, the two symptoms occurring at the same time is odd as they are not typically related. Suggest you check the wire harness going from the cabinet to the left fresh food door at the top, a shorted wire there may explain this. The lights and fresh food cooling are controlled by the main rear control board, but it also communicates with the circuit boards in the left fresh food door. Read More...
