Figgy June 15, 2012 for Model Number gtwn4250dws OK - just received this part from you. Thanks for prompt delivery. The GE instructions with the kit are poor. It says I need to cut the original drain hose that comes with the machine and insert this in between. What should I cut the hose with, razor blade? saw? Does this extension then go on the outside (or inside??)of the original hose & is clamped in place? Previous customer sounds like it was a mess - Are you sure AP4568426 won't work with this machine?
1 Answer Hi Figgy. Place the coupling onto one end of the extension hose. Clamp it snug but not enough to over tighten it and create a leak. Then use the other clamp and put it (loosely) over the end of the hose coupling you just connected together. Slide the coupling into the existing drain hose and clamp it together. Ellen November 09, 2011 for Model Number GE GTWN4250MWS top load washing machine Just purchased this model from home depot. Had to get an extension kit from home depot. After installing leaked all over the basement floor. I see that you have part #WH49X301 ext. hose, but do you have a longer one then what the manufacturor packages the machine with so that there are no breaks in the hose? Desperate and need a machine after 1 month without one. Thanks.
