Heather March 27, 2014 for Model Number GE Washer WDRR2500K3WW I need to extend my drain hose a few feet out from the back of my washer to reacher the waste pipe. What can I use to either extend the drain hose I have or replace it with a longer version? Thanks.
Sheila March 02, 2014 for Model Number GTWN4250DWS Will extension hose WH49x301 work with this GE washer?
Johnboy February 09, 2014 1. The description of the WH49X301 extension drain hose doesn't tell me how long this thing is. So how long is it? I need a total of about 13'. 2. On my old GE washer I was able to remove the Masonite back panel and connect a long hose (1" neoprene) directly to the pump outlet using an ordinary automotive hose clamp. I'm not impressed with the new plastic "plug in" drain arrangement. Does somebody make (and do you sell) a 90-degree fitting that would plug into the washer drain socket and terminate in a plain old hose nipple facing parallel to the back of the washer? That would sure simplify the hose arrangement, as folks could clamp any desired length of hose onto that nipple.
1 Answer Hello Johnboy. 43" Drain Hose extension With Adapter And Clamp. The manufacturer does not recommend a drain hose over 10 feet. Read More...
Poor Instructions November 13, 2013 We just purchased a WH49X301 drain hose extension. We were given the same advice, as a previous questioner, about cutting the drain hose. I didn't and followed the direction provided here. The connection still leaks, because of the channels that run down the side of the drain hose where it inserts into the extension. Is there a sealant that will fill these channels and not harm the rubber gasket?
1 Answer Hello. No, there is no sealant that can be used. If the clamps are tight enough and not bowing the plastic, it will work and will not leak. These can be stubborn sometimes, but with some work will seal. If you need to you can try using silicone to get the joint to seal, but the manufacturer does not say it needs it. Read More...

Davy F. July 15, 2013 for Model Number Hotpoint Washer HTWP1400F1WW My washer uses a new type of drain hose (P/N WH41X10096) that is 'plugged' into the back of the washer. The hose is about 6 inches too short. Can I use the Dr Hose Extension Kit (P/N WH49X301) spliced into the existing drain hose to get the length I need?
1 Answer Hello Davy, The extension drain hose kit (AP2618804) should work fine with your unit. Read More...
