Brian C September 27, 2017 for Model Number PDW8280J00SS Looking for a longer drain hose for this dishwasher probably 10 feet. Current drain hose is not long enough to reach countertop before going into garbage disposal. Water flows from sink into dishwasher as a result. Or is an extension possible for current drain hose?
John P. April 05, 2017 for Model Number Maytag Dishwasher MDB4949SDMA I have a 6 foot hose that is about a foot short, I would like a 8 foot hose, but think my have to settle for a 10 foot hose that connects properly to the dishwasher and my garbage disposer.
1 Answer Hello John, 3385556 is a 12 foot drain hose listed to fit the model provided. Just make sure the drain hose is raised and secured to counter top level and drops straight to the sink/disposer drain from there. Read More...
James June 07, 2016 for Model Number GSD4920Z00BB In a number of Q&A's here, it has been answered that the GE 10 ft drain hose GPF10L is a compatible option for dishwashers calling for the 6 ft hose WD24X10014. That 6 ft original hose has a small connector at the pump, closer to 5/8 inch, versus a large connector of over 1 inch. GPF10L is a large connector hose. GPF10S is a small connector hose, so isn't GPF10S (10 ft small connector) the hose that is compatible with WD24X10014 (6 FT small connector)?
1 Answer James, The Q & A section has different models that it is saying the 10" drain hose GPF10L. It will work for some models but not for other models. Read More...
Jim July 28, 2015 for Model Number GSD5640F00SS Original hose is not long enough to create a high loop above the point where hose enters disposal. Need part number for hose longer than the recommended hose.

Glen T. March 04, 2015 for Model Number GHDA480N10WW I'm looking for a universal drain hose that is 8-10 feet long to fit my GE dishwasher. The manufacturer part number is only 6 feet long. I've looked everywhere, but no one stocks hoses anymore in the longer lengths.

Tom June 23, 2014 for Model Number ge pdw7880g00ss Please let me know which 6 and 10 ft drain hoses would be appropriate for this GE dishwasher: pdw7880g00ss. The standard drain hose that a big box chain store carries is too small of a diameter (<= 7/8") to connect to the DW pump. Thanks you, Tom
1 Answer Tom, the original drain hose listed for your model is part number WD24X10014. You can use 10' drain hose kit part number GPF10L. Thanks! Read More...
Charles R. March 20, 2014 for Model Number GE GSD2230Z02WW Have problem with some dirty water accumulating in bottom. Removed plastic grill inside bottom and cleaned out pump sump. One small piece of plastic removed from pump grill. No change in operation. There is no air gap, but waste hose loops above garbage disposal. Garbage disposal is new and works (drains fine). I looked at parts list for this pump assembly but found no check valve. Is there an aftermarket check valve that will fit the discharge hose where the hose connects to the pump? The dishwasher seems to work fine, just appears to have some waste water running back down the hose when it shuts down.
1 Answer Charles, You need to check and make sure the dishwasher and drain hose are properly installed, no twists kinks ,etc. then check to make sure there aren't any debris in the drain hose. Disconnect the drain hose from the disposal, start the dishwasher and let it run a minute or two, put the end of the drain hose in a large bucket, then drain the dishwasher, this will usually clear anything floating in the hose. Then check the drain solenoid WD21X802 and linkage to make sure it is not binding or causing tension on the lever, this would allow the internal flapper to remain open, and water to back flush into the tub. We are not aware of a "universal" dishwasher drain hose check valve, but you may want to check at the local hardware store or home improvement center. Read More...
