Mardie November 21, 2011 for Model Number PSS27NSTGSS - part # AP2672416 The part (AP26722416) is threaded onto a rod - the helpful hints say that the part will unscrew in the direction that the auger motor turns. However the rod that the part is screwed to moves along with the part when trying to remove. How can the motor (and rod) be held still to remove the part?
1 Answer Hello Mardie. It is best to use a hammer and tap the fingers of the drive auger WR02X11534 to release it from the shaft. Real quick taps from the hammer will prevent the shaft from turning and will release the drive. Hope this helps. Read More...
