1 Answer Mitch, terminal changes can occur on surface elements and it is common for the large terminal on the ceramic block to be switched with a smaller terminal. 1 Answer Sam, Since the indicator light was not specified (hot surface or Element On). If it is the element on indicator then the issue is one of the surface unit switches and they would need to be checked with a meter. Steve January 01, 2023 for Model Number JB645RK4SS This GE stove was purchased in April 2019. Two years later had to replace 9" element (Part # WB30X24111). as it was not working. Now the same element has shorted and needs to be replaced. I have read reviews that another customer had the same issue, Is this a reoccurring problem with this GE product?
