The Faceplate is an OEM part for GE ovens. It is mounted on the front of the oven, covering the control panel area where the user interacts with the oven's settings and functions.

Symptoms of a bad Faceplate include:

  • Cracks or breakage that can expose internal components,
  • Fading or peeling of finish, which affects the appearance and readability of the control labels,
  • Loose fit that may interfere with the operation of control knobs or buttons.

Causes of faceplate damage typically involve physical impacts, excessive cleaning that degrades materials, or heat exposure that can warp or distort the plastic.

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Questions & Answers

For Ge Faceplate (Part Number: OEM13452981)

Andrew, if the knob sits on the control panel of your appliance then you'll use the retrofitted faceplate. If the knob is not on the control panel and is on the face plate you'll need the original face plate which is no longer available. Yes, the faceplate is peel and stick and sticks to the control board. Hope this helps you. Thanks.

Katie for Model Number jtp30sm1ss

Im trying to purchase the replacement to the touchpad on the front of the oven. It appears that the self-clean function may have caused the "faceplate" to bubble/crack due to the heat. You can still punch the buttons and the oven does work. This is mainly a cosmetic fix. I'm hoping that this is the correct part, as there is no picture for the part. Also, I'm curious how I install the new one. Will there be installation instructions with the part?
