I see a mention of a "retrofit" and this replacement faceplate being the right fit. I don't know that I have had a "retrofit." I assume this faceplate is just "stuck" right over the current faceplate?
1 Answer Andrew, if the knob sits on the control panel of your appliance then you'll use the retrofitted faceplate. If the knob is not on the control panel and is on the face plate you'll need the original face plate which is no longer available. Katie April 29, 2013 for Model Number jtp30sm1ss Im trying to purchase the replacement to the touchpad on the front of the oven. It appears that the self-clean function may have caused the "faceplate" to bubble/crack due to the heat. You can still punch the buttons and the oven does work. This is mainly a cosmetic fix. I'm hoping that this is the correct part, as there is no picture for the part. Also, I'm curious how I install the new one. Will there be installation instructions with the part?
