This convection fan assembly circulates heated air inside the oven cavity for more even baking and roasting. Replacing a worn or noisy fan restores proper airflow and helps maintain stable temperatures during convection cooking.

  • Moves hot air across the cavity during convection modes for uniform results
  • Helps the oven recover heat faster and reduces hot/cold spots
  • Common symptoms of failure: loud humming, squealing, or rattling; fan not spinning; poor or uneven convection performance
  • Can cause longer cook times or inconsistent browning when not working properly
What's included: 1 convection fan assembly Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the appliance to cool completely
  • Access the convection fan from the rear panel or interior back cover, depending on model; retain all screws and shielding
  • Note wire locations and mounting orientation; install the new assembly in the same position
  • Before restoring power, ensure the blade spins freely and does not contact the shroud or liner

Hello Tom, If a part is not necessary, the manufacturer will not put it in. This lowers their manufacturing costs which in turn increases their profits. The part you are referring to, while I have no clue as to what it is, will be necessary. If you would like more details, please re-post with the model number off of the units' I.D. tag and we can look up the model you are working on and give you specific information to your unit.
