Levi T. December 26, 2013 for Model Number TFX25PRBB-BB When repairing the door handle, how do I separate the the tow parts of the handle as seen by looking at the handle. Do I use a screwdriver or a metal paint scraper? Do I "push in" or do I "pry apart"? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Levi, If you start from the end away from the handle, the trim should lift straight out from the door. It will slowly come out if you wiggle it back and forth as you pull. When you get to the handle, the end of the trim should slide off of the handle. Read More...
Jay December 26, 2011 for Model Number tfx26ppdaww I've just ordered replacement handles and tails for both the freezer and refridgerator doors on our GE refridgerator, and while they are in transit to us, I thought I'd email and ask how to remove the old handles and then how to install the new ones. 1 Answer Hello Jay. You will need to remove the top and bottom trim pieces by unsnapping the trim from the door. Then remove the screws securing the handles WR12X10782 to the door and re-install the trim covers. Hope this helps. Read More...
