Brian April 30, 2013 for Model Number JNM1731DM1BB I removed this microwave from a house I purchased where it was vented to the outside. In the home it's going into there's no vent in the installation location. Is the damper cover the correct part to make the microwave recirculate the air through the front? Thanks!
1 Answer Brian, To change the configuration so that the motor blows out through the vent, you will take the cabinet off the unit and rotate the motor a 1/4 of a turn. Put the cabinet back on. Read More...
Bob April 30, 2013 for Model Number JVM1350SY Hello, I am reinstalling my GE over the range microwave (JVM1350SY), this time with an outside vent. However, I do not have the adapter and damper to connect the ductwork to the microwave. I plugged in my model number and this part came up (WB06X10436). It looks like the frame and damper assembly. However, when I double check my model number on the part specific page, it says this part is not compatible. 1) How come the part is listed as compatible when I plug in my model number, but when I check on the part specific page it says incompatible? 2) If it is compatible, is this the part I need (frame and damper combined?) Thanks, Bob
1 Answer Bob, the hood damper assy WB06X10436 is the correct replacement part and will fit your model JVM1350SY*. The model supplied, JVM1350SY, is a partial model number. Our compatibility tool only recognizes full model numbers tied to parts. Yes, you will need the frame and damper. Hope this helps you. Thanks! Read More...
Ellen February 23, 2013 for Model Number JVM1440WHO4 We moved our GE Spacesaver Microwave/Hoodfan while remodeling and lost the part the exhausts the fan. The Hood Damper Assembly (part # AP3206294) sounds like what we need but it's hard to tell from the photo. When we click on the image to bring up the diagram We can see that we need the pieces labeled 1210, 1211 and 1208. Are all those pieces included in the Hood Damper Assembly and if not can you help me order the whole thing?
1 Answer Hello Ellen, You will need to get 2 parts for unit, which are WB06X10165 Bracket Vent motor and WB06X10436 Hood damper assembly. These parts do not come as a kit but the hood damper assembly has the flapper part with it. Read More...
Duane C. August 23, 2012 for Model Number JVM1730DP1BB Just removed above stove micro to put in new cabinets. During removale rhw the "exhaust adapter" with damper was bent. At GE parts I found the adapter for about $17, but the damper was $40. Your prices are a bit lower. The damper in question is 9 5/8 inch long by 2 5/8 in wide thin aluminum and is very poorly made. It fits into the adapter. Your site shows the damper in the adapter. GE had almost the same picture with a note that the damper is sold separately. Is the damper in your adapter for the price indicated? If sold separatley, why is the damper so expensive?
1 Answer Duane, according to your model number the damper assembly WB06X10436 is the correct part listed for your microwave. From the picture found on GE's site, our site, and all other sites I would say what you see in our image is what you will receive when you order this time. It will come with the damper and adapter. Thanks. Read More...
