Mike G February 29, 2020 for Model Number JGB905SEF3SS Left rear burner will not light. Gas comes up. No spark and replaced the spark igniter I purchased from you. Is it the wire harness or some other part. Please include part number from your company. Thank you...!!
1 Answer Mike, With no spark at the burner, it is possible the spark switch has failed and does not close when you turn on the valve for that burner. The part number would be WB24K10023. A voltage test can be done at the spark module to see if 120vac is supplied to the spark module when that burner is turned on. Read More...
Marianne March 12, 2018 Zero clicking sounds when turning any burner on the gas stove top. Just received the switch harness.... Was surprised to see it doesn't seem to have any actual switches/hardware - just wires. We already replaced the spark module, hoping this switch harness will do the trick. Are we still missing a part (e.g. a switch)??
1 Answer Marianne, This harness WB18K10035 is the igniter harness and you would want to get the ignition switches for the burner valves. Read More...
Johnv November 07, 2016 for Model Number 92072309011 Kenmore Range (Frigidaire made) model 790.72309011 Missing the wires from the bake gas safety valve. Mice chewed I assume? I need to replace the two wires leading from the gas safety valve to the connector clip that attaches to the connector clip of the bake ignitor. Is there a replacement wire harness available? There is a bracket that holds the harness with two of the wires leading from the gas safety valve. The clip from the bake ignitor attaches to this. In other words, the bake ignitor does not attach directly to the gas safety valve. It attaches to the harness (held by the bracket) that has several wires leading to several places, two of which lead to the gas safety valve. Is it possible to find a replacement wire harness?
1 Answer John, You would need to order and install the 316580340 / 316580312 Main Wire Harness in order to replace the wiring to the igniter and safety valve. The part is in stock and available at this time. You also have the option or repairing or replacing the damaged wires and terminals should you choose. Thanks, Read More...
Justin R. July 02, 2013 for Model Number JGBS23BEA2WH After some testing, I figured out the top left and bottom right electrodes do not spark. I can't really tell if they click or not. I did switch the electrodes from the two working to the two non-working, and the issue was the same, so I know it's not the electrodes. Is this the part I should be replacing or is there a way to test if it is the cables? I also considered the possibility of the spark module being bad or some other part I don't know exists.
1 Answer Justin, You will want to test the switches on the burner valves for continuity with the burner in the on position. If there is no continuity then you will want to replace the switches. If the switches are showing good then the spark module would most likely be the cause of failure. Read More...
