Problem: "new" 10039 rails have a plastic housing/ clip over the screw housing (which is plain stainless w/o housing on 10041) ?> Is it possible to remove the plastic grey screw housing on 100309 so it will slip into the original upper basket. Schnoodle April 12, 2020 for Model Number PDT825SSSJ2SS Similar to two others here, a photo of how to release the upper rack is essential is an consumer is going to be able to install this part. One of my rails is stuck, so it doesn't fully extend. If there's some magic at the back of the rail (where the white part at the end is on the replacement part) - it would be lovely is someone would share the method to get this to release.
1 Answer Schnoodle, The white clip on the rail does not come off. To get the rack out you would need to try to slide it in and when pulling out pull it with force. This would be the only way to get it out far enough to get to the lever to remove the rack. Read More...
Les April 06, 2019 for Model Number GHDT168V00SS I removed the upper rail assembly to clean the scaling and the inner plastic ball bearing slide is impossible to put back together missing plastic beads etc.... the rail is not secure without it keeps falling after assembly what am I doing wrong do you need the metal strip with plastic ball bearings has 6 larger cutout circles with an L shaped on top and bottom with holes for ball bearings to sit however the plastic ball bearings fall through they are worn out very frustrating...… if I order 2 new units upper rack slide part 650 will it solve my issue.
