Bob December 25, 2019 for Model Number GLD2850T10cs Replaced the soap dispenser two years ago. Now the soap dispenser will open up to discharge the soap- not prior to the wash cycle but rather at the start of the drying cycle. I can manually open and close the dispenser. As a result at the end of the run time the dry soap is sitting in the bottom of the machine. Should I replace the main control board and if so which one? Thank you Bob
1 Answer Bob, based on the information provided, the main control would be the main suspect as it should have already engaged the door. As the door is not being activated at the proper time, the main control WD21X10408 would be replaced. Read More...
Dennis January 05, 2016 for Model Number gld4408r10ww Hello. As of this writing I have not replaced any parts. Condition is this: Washer very hard to START. Two lights are lit on front control panel. After two minutes, lights go out (my best guess is this is a built in feature). I cannot change any settings on the touch pad. I have been lucky enough by being persistent to finally get it to run by pushing keypads repeatedly. Was going to replace the main and tactile boards until I saw your response to another question on the same unit (replace dishwasher control panel). Waiting to get your feedback at this point. Mac
1 Answer Hello Dennis. Based on the information you provided, you will need to order and replace the tactile kit WD21X10408 on the unit. Read More...
Mark April 03, 2015 for Model Number GLD4408R10BB I have power to the unit and power to the latch switch's in the door. Power thru the door switch's works when the switch plunger is pushed down (simulating the door closed), but I get no lights of any kind.
1 Answer Hello Mark, You should put the unit into the service mode and see if any fault codes exist. This is done as follows: To enter the service mode: • Put the dishwasher in standby mode. • On front control models, press Key#8 and Key#4 simultaneously. • On top control models, press Heated Dry and Select Cycle simultaneously. If performed correctly, the control will respond with two beeps and all LEDs will illuminate for 4 seconds. To exit the service mode, press the Start/Reset keypad at any time. The dishwasher will automatically exit service mode if the keypad is inactive for 5 minutes. Fast Control Model Reset: Initiate a fast control model reset before replacing a nonresponsive control unit. To initiate a fast control model reset: • Make sure the unit is powered off. • Press and hold the Start/Reset keypad and power the unit on. Continue holding the Start/Reset keypad for 2 seconds after powering the unit on. • Wait 5 seconds, then power the unit off. • Wait another 5 seconds, then power the unit back on. If there are any fault codes, they are explained in the tech sheet normally located behind the kick panel. Read More...
Ben March 10, 2014 for Model Number gld4408r10ww I have replaced the board and had two technicians look at the unit. The clean light keeps blinking. They placed the unit into the service mode and nothing activates on it. Any ides what may be the issue with my model? Thanks, Ben
1 Answer Hello Ben. With the control board being replaced already and the clean light just flashing, this issue would be caused by a faulty control panel keypad WD34X11534. Read More...
