This lid lock and harness assembly restores safe washer operation. It locks the lid during spin and relays lid-closed status to the control, helping resolve no-start/no-spin conditions and a flashing lid-lock light.

  • Locks the lid during spin when commanded by the control
  • Detects lid position and sends a signal to the control board
  • Helps prevent the washer from running with the lid open
  • Typical failure signs include the washer not starting or not spinning, cycles pausing mid-cycle, or a blinking lid-lock light/clicking sound
What's included: Lid lock assembly with attached wire harness. Install notes:
  • Unplug the washer before servicing; turn off water if you need to move the unit
  • Access the lock by lifting or removing the top panel; remove mounting screws or release tabs
  • Route the new harness along the original path and secure in clips; fully seat connectors at the control
  • Run a spin test to verify lock/unlock operation
