  • Connects inlet and outlet lines to direct filtered water to the dispenser and icemaker
  • Common failure symptoms: leaks around the filter head, low or no dispenser flow, icemaker not filling, or the filter not seating/locking properly
  • Designed specifically for refrigerators that use the MSWF filter style
What's included: 1 water filter manifold assembly Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
  • Dispense water to relieve line pressure; place a towel to catch residual water
  • Remove the MSWF filter; transfer mounting hardware and line connections to the new assembly one at a time to maintain orientation
  • Restore water and power; check all connections for leaks and run water to purge air from the system

Greg for Model Number ge wr17x12204

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/ge-filter-asm-and-wr17x12204-ap4297350.html I already replaced my water inlet valve because the water lines were stuttering, but that wasn't the issue. and now I have narrowed it down to the stuttering coming from that part I sent the link to above. it is the part that the water filter screws into and there is this plastic tiny pyramid shaped nozzle that when you screw the filter on it depresses it.so, I think the plastic nozzle has been worn down too much by taking on and off filters for 6 years and it causes it to stutter because it is in between on and off. does that make sense or do you think the lines might be clogged? it is not the same type of sputtering that you get when you put on a new water filter. it is a very loud stuttering right at that specific part where the water filter screws into. Please respond as quickly as you can. Thx.

Greg, You are on target, even the deduction about the internal check valve is correct. They can get worn or bent and not open the valve completely and can make a stuttering noise. As long as you're sure you're installing the correct filter and it's properly installed and positioned, replace the filter housing and tubes WR17X22075 and you'll be fine.
