Kim S. March 10, 2012 for Model Number GE XL 44 I have a GE XL 44 model #JGBP26WEA4WW Serial # MA206054P. We are using LP gas and our stove smokes every time we use it. Do we need to change the orifices in the oven so it will stop smoking or what do we need to do?
1 Answer Hi Kim. First of all is the top burners all Ok ? Or are they smoking as well ? I am assuming that they are not. Has there been a recent change in the gas appliances in your home ? Is the bake burner the only one smoking ? You may have a dirty bake burner that has the orifice blocked or the burner jet holes... Is the broil burner smoking as well ? The directions talk about a silver orfice that needs to be put in, replaceing the brass natural gas one that is in it,on the regulator which I do not have.
