Mary September 19, 2011 for Model Number JBP10W0D1WW Our bake element is screwed to back of oven on top of bracket that holds element ends in place.

Cappy September 13, 2011 The element arrived and I went to install it as you explained. However when I removed the old one there weren't any wires connected to it, just tabs. I'm guessing there are slots that these tabs fit into. I tried to slide the new part in but it didn't catch and I can't see anything because there is insulation present. I don't want to start doing things "willy-nilly" (knowing me I'd break something). Any advice on how to proceed? Do I need to access the rear of the range? Is it OK to remove the insulation? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Cappy. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the back panel will need to be removed to access and install the wires onto the element WB44T10010. Hope this helps. Read More...
Cappy September 09, 2011 for Model Number jbp67b0h1wh This looks like the replacement element for my range. Are any other parts needed to do the replacement? Are replacement instructions included?
1 Answer Cappy, You do have the correct part number for your bake element. It would not come with an instruction sheet. It's a fairly easy repair. Turn power off to the range at the breaker box. Open or remove oven door and racks, Remove the two screws(one in each bracket)that attach the element bracket to the back wall of the oven cavity, slowly and carefully slide the element assembly out towards you, far enough that the wire terminal connections are visible and accessible, disconnect the wires from the original element, do not allow the wires to recede back into the opening or you'll need to "fish" them out or remove the range and back panel to access them inside the cabinet, Reverse the procedure and test the element for heat and operation. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
