The Oven Door Handle is an OEM replacement part for GE electric ranges. As the primary grip point, the oven door handle allows for safe opening and closing of the oven door.

Causes can be normal fatigue of plastic or metal following extensive heat cycles. Impacts and stresses from loading/unloading also intensify wear and tear.

Symptoms of a bad handle include:

  • Loose, shaky or unstable gripping during opening/closing
  • Parts cracking, breaking or falling off from wear over time
  • Difficulty accessing oven interior or positioning latch mechanisms

This GE OEM replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Dave G.

We have installed a dishwasher and the oven sits at a right angle to the dishwasher. When the dishwasher door comes down it hits the oven doors. We were thinking of replacing the oven doors so that they fit closer to the oven. Right now from the oven to the edge of the outside handle is 2 1/2 in. We need a handle that is not more than 1 3/4 or 1 1/2 from the stove front. The width is around 26 inches. We would like stainless steel but will settle for black. Can you make a recommendation?

Hello Moira. We carry many GE parts, however, the model number you provided is not correct. If you can provide us with the complete model and serial number from the unit, we should be able to find the parts. I will include a link in this message to a tool that may help you find the correct tag. I hope this info helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
