B Helm July 12, 2011 for Model Number jgbs20wea1ww Glows white hot, but seems seems like no gas coming to manoifold. But when I diconnect the line or brake the connection loose, gas leaks out.
1 Answer Helm, Are you sure that there is 3.2 to 3.6 VAC across the terminals of the safety valve, when the igniter is glowing ? Or you could check for a 3.2 to 3.6 amp draw on the wires of the igniter. If youhave a weak igniter and don't produce the amps or volts, the valve wont open, and you have no ignition. If you do have the VAC or amps, then replace the safety valve. Thanks Read More...

1 Answer Hello Stan. If the igniter is staying on, the thermostat WB20K8 will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Ed M. May 13, 2011 for Model Number JGBS23BEA1AD Gas range There looks to be a good glow to light the oven but it doesn't always light up. Sometimes I get a strong gas odor, I turn the oven off wait a few minutes and try again. Sometimes it'll start, sometimes I have to repeat the on/off a few times. I was told it might be the gas safety valve. What do you think? I'd like to order the part but cant afford it if it's not going to help. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Ed! It seems that the ignitor may be weak. You should have a bright red/orange to a white glow when the ignitor is on. If it is a dull red/orange it will need to be replaced. Your part number is WB13K21. Thanks. Read More...
