Questions & Answers

For Ge Gas Range Oven Safety Valve (Part Number: OEM6068295)

1 Answer

Helm, Are you sure that there is 3.2 to 3.6 VAC across the terminals of the safety valve, when the igniter is glowing ? Or you could check for a 3.2 to 3.6 amp draw on the wires of the igniter. If youhave a weak igniter and don't produce the amps or volts, the valve wont open, and you have no ignition. If you do have the VAC or amps, then replace the safety valve. Thanks

Hello Ed! It seems that the ignitor may be weak. You should have a bright red/orange to a white glow when the ignitor is on. If it is a dull red/orange it will need to be replaced. Your part number is WB13K21. Thanks.
