The Cage Roller Bearing Assembly is an OEM component for GE dishwashers. Located within the dishrack framing, it facilitates smooth travel of racks in and out during cycle operations.

Causes of a faulty bearing assembly commonly relate to years of enduring cycle vibrations and intermittent loads from rack movements. Hard water exposure poses an additional risk of mineral deposits increasing friction over time.

Symptoms include:

  • Snagging or jamming issues when sliding racks
  • Louder than typical operation noises within cycles
  • Potential rack misalignments or difficulty extending fully

This genuine GE assembly is also compatible with other GE, Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Louis, There are no detailed instructions for the bearing cage. But it's not that difficult. Remove the front track stop, slide the rack forward until the front rollers clear the track then insert the cage into the track and reverse the procedure. Before you install the cage, you need to bend the top and bottom portions of the cage(where the ball bearings are located so they fit in the top and bottom of the track, when you insert the cage you may have to "bend" the assembly slightly. once you have everything installed and the stop reinstalled slide the rack all the way in and out several times, this will align everything, and you should be fine.
