Al M March 05, 2013 for Model Number rgb745bea2ad range 2 right burners correctly light by turning knob, they spark and light. Also when turning these 2 the two left ones also spark. The 2 left one when turn to lite get no reaction. I also notice the all spark switches are wired together, that go to module. So do I need the spark switches for the left side and how do you wired the new ones.
1 Answer Al, You would want to do a continuity test on the switches to determine whether they are bad or if you have wiring issue. With the gas to unit turned off, do a continuity test to check the switches when they are in the on position. If they show no continuity then the switch is bad and will need to be replaced. Ken September 23, 2011 for Model Number jgbp79aew1aa my broiler workes fine but my oven will not come on.Ihave changed the igniter and check for continuity at the electric gas valve.when i press the oven button on the control panel and set the temp on 350 it blinks and goes back to 100. Please help. Thanks
1 Answer Ken, Since you have a multimeter, when the glow bar igniter is glowing, check for 3.2 to 3.6 VAC across the wires on the gas valve bake terminals. Anything lower than 3.2 VAC will not open the gas valve for ignition and burn. Also disconnect the wires at the new igniter, attach the meter leads to the wires from the chassis and turn on the oven, you should read 120 VAC across the two wires from the control, that will verify if you have a control relay issue or damaged wire. 1 Answer Bill, the clicking noise is the spark module. The spark module; sparks to ignite the gas to create the flame for the burner. I can look up the module for your unit, however I will need your model number. Thanks. Read More...
